Doug has over 35 years of experience both in public accounting as well as at Canada Revenue Agency. Working on both sides of the tax divide has given him the depth and perspective to address client issues with creative tax planning ideas.

He works with privately held businesses and develops and executes intricate tax plans for complex business scenarios. He is also actively involved with estate planning and is responsible for the firm’s commodity sales practice. He has advised on many due diligence, sales tax and investment scenarios for clients coming into Canada from overseas via our international affiliates at Morison Global.

Doug obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia University and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1985.
